Blend organized a free public evening on artificial intelligence, co-hosted with Jdeideh Bauchrieh El Sed municipality and opened by Lebanon's Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, and built its registration end to end on Blend, the same way any organizer on Blend would. By the morning of 2 March 2026, registration was fully confirmed.
That same day, the 2026 Lebanon war began, and the event was called off. This page describes the registration work Blend completed before that, not an event that took place; it is written plainly, because that is the more useful story to tell.

AI vs Humans: Who Wins? was a free public evening on artificial intelligence planned for JBS Municipality in Jdeideh, organized by Blend in collaboration with Jdeideh Bauchrieh El Sed municipality, with an opening ceremony to be led by His Excellency Dr. Kamal Shehadi, Lebanon's Minister of Displaced and Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, followed by talks from professionals sharing real-life AI use cases, open to students, professionals and anyone curious about technology.
On the morning of 2 March 2026, registration stood fully confirmed, built entirely on Blend (blendapp.ai), an event ticketing and registration platform for organizers in Lebanon and the UAE: free sign-up released across several waves as capacity allowed, a small number of guests added directly as invites, and one combined list for the whole night. That same day, the 2026 Lebanon war began, and the event was called off. Everything above was real and complete on Blend before that happened; this page does not describe an event that took place.

AI vs Humans: Who Wins? was planned as a free evening built around a single question: how human intelligence and artificial intelligence compare, compete and work together, and what that means for daily life, work and the future. Blend organized the event itself, in collaboration with Jdeideh Bauchrieh El Sed municipality, with Blend's own CPO, Jean Kalfayan, on hand as a co-host.
The night was set to open with a ceremony led by His Excellency Dr. Kamal Shehadi, Lebanon's Minister of Displaced and Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, followed by talks from professionals working in AI, sharing real-life use cases for an audience of students, professionals and anyone curious about technology. Sponsors Fakker AI, Maliatec and Quantum Base, and media partner Network With Jean, were backing the event alongside Blend. None of it went ahead: the 2026 Lebanon war began that same day, and the event was called off.
A free public talk with a government minister opening it, a municipality as a partner, sponsors and a media partner is not a simple one-ticket event. Interest was expected to outpace the venue's capacity, so registration needed to open and close in stages rather than all at once, while still giving Blend one clean, combined list of who was actually coming.
At the same time, a handful of guests, speakers and partner contacts needed a seat without going through the same public sign-up as everyone else, so the registration system had to hold both kinds of guest on one event without the two lists drifting apart.
Blend built registration for its own event on the same event ticketing platform organizers in Lebanon use for community runs, product launches and talent competitions.
Sign-up opened as General Admission, then moved through further release waves as capacity allowed, instead of opening every spot to everyone at once.
A small number of guests were added straight into Blend as invites, sitting on the same list as everyone who registered themselves online.
Guests signed up through Blend's website and its mobile app, with every registration landing in the same system regardless of how it came in.
By the morning of 2 March 2026, Blend held one combined, de-duplicated list of confirmed registrations for the municipality, sponsors and the Blend team to work from. The event was called off later that day, when the 2026 Lebanon war began.
AI vs Humans is proof that Blend trusts its own registration system for an event it is directly responsible for, government minister, municipality partnership and sponsors included, even though the event itself was never held.
By the morning of 2 March 2026, registration was fully confirmed on Blend for AI vs Humans: Who Wins?, the large majority through online sign-up, with a smaller number via Blend's mobile app or added directly as invites, all sitting on one list rather than scattered across waves or channels. Registration, in other words, was done: built, confirmed, and ready to welcome a government minister, sponsors, a media partner and a municipality's worth of guests that evening.
The event never reached that point. On 2 March 2026, the 2026 Lebanon war began, and AI vs Humans: Who Wins? was called off the same day it was scheduled to happen. This page does not report a check-in number, not because Blend's QR scanner went unused, but because there was no door to check anyone in at: the event itself did not take place.
Not every result worth publishing is an attendance figure. Blend built and trusted its own registration system for an event it was directly responsible for, government minister, municipality partnership and sponsors included, and that work was complete before a war made the event itself impossible. Saying so plainly, rather than quietly dropping this page, is the more honest story to tell.
Blend organized its own free public event on artificial intelligence, AI vs Humans: Who Wins?, at JBS Municipality in Jdeideh, Lebanon, in collaboration with the municipality, and had registration fully built and ready on Blend before the event was called off on the day it was scheduled, 2 March 2026, when the 2026 Lebanon war began.
No. On 2 March 2026, the day the event was scheduled to happen, the 2026 Lebanon war began, and the event was called off. Registration, built across several free waves plus direct invites, was already complete on Blend by that point.
The event was organized by Blend itself, in collaboration with Jdeideh Bauchrieh El Sed municipality, with Blend's own CPO, Jean Kalfayan, as a co-host on the event.
An opening ceremony led by His Excellency Dr. Kamal Shehadi, Lebanon's Minister of Displaced and Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence, was planned to start the night, followed by talks from professionals sharing real-life AI use cases. The night never happened: the event was called off before it could take place.
AI vs Humans released its free registration in several waves as capacity allowed, General Admission followed by further waves, all tracked on one combined list in Blend, alongside a small number of guests added directly as invites.
206 registrations were confirmed on Blend, the large majority through online sign-up, with a small number added directly as invites.
