World Cleanup Day – SWIM Initiative Byblos Beach Cleanup

About this event
Join SWIM Initiative, J-MED, Eco-Citizens, and the Municipality of Byblos for World Cleanup Day on the historic shoreline of Byblos. Together, we'll clear waste from the sea and celebrate with an optional swim in the waters we've just cleaned. Since 2019, SWIM volunteers have removed over 115 tons of marine debris from Lebanon's coast. Transportation and food are provided. All you need to bring is yourself and a willingness to help.
Transportation:
Buses depart from Phoenix Institute, Badaro at 8:00 AM sharp. Please be there by 7:40 AM, as the buses cannot wait for late arrivals. Meeting point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZobBpynshoogqmFR9
Pickups are also available from Fahed, Zalka and Kababji, Kaslik.
Buses return to Badaro by 12:00 PM.

Staying to swim:
Participants who wish to stay and swim after the cleanup are welcome to, but the return buses leave directly after the cleanup and the organisers cannot provide transportation or supervision beyond that point. Anyone staying on must arrange their own way back.
